    Our First visit to Buc-ees

You call it speculation. I call it spot on. That is about how I would describe the Buc-ee's that I visited. Oh, and add insanely crowded. I've been to amusement parks that are less crowded than Buc-ee's.

    Valvoline Restore and Protect Euro

It may be suitable. But it's going to be a hard sell to most VW/Audi/Porsche/BMW/MB owners without seeing any "Approved", or at the very minimum "Meets" to these Euro manufacturer specs. I won't put it in any of my Euro engines without this.

    Keep 2007-era garage door opener?

It is real hard for me to replace something that is working just fine. So I would keep the old opener until it starts to wear out. My garage door opener also has battery backup. The first battery went out after only 2-3 years. I replaced it. The second battery didn't even last that long...

Quality Control - Domestic vs Japan

Agreed, 100%. Totally rubs me the wrong way. Having worked for an automotive supplier that adopted the Toyota Production System (TPS), and along with it TQMS (Toyota Quality Management System) back in 1995, and even made significant improvements to it over the years. Toyota is very proud of...

    Valvoline Restore and Protect Euro

Any mention if the Euro oils will be approved to, or at least meet MB, BMW or VW specs? Any mention on a target date for getting to market? This is great news. But just like @JavierH19 mentions, I hope they come to the North America market.

    What is your EDC Pistol?

My decision tree looks like this: Reliability. For me at least, any self defense weapon absolutely has to have outstanding proven reliability. Accuracy. Self explanatory. Shootability. Does it fit well in my hands? Do I like the trigger? Where do my fingers rest, to reach the magazine...

Funny car story from my youth.

That has to be the best car story I have heard for a while. How did the shop staff react to your story?

    Home Exterior Colors

Are you selling in the very near future? If no, why would you pick a house color that you will not enjoy, just for the possible resale years down the road? If you like the greens, and will enjoy the way it looks, then do green. The current trend of greys is a big turn-off to me. Greys seem...

    A good one

Exactly what I was going to suggest. Never done it myself, but I've heard a few here, confess to it.

Motive Pressure Bleeder adapter for Hondas

Here is another option in addition to the one that @Nukeman7 uses. More pricey, but I wanted the aluminum instead of plastic. It fits quite well. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DKHGMXQS?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1 Interesting hypothesis. But my experience doesn't validate...

Nursing school owner pleads guilty to selling nearly 3,000 fraudulent nursing diplomas

As it should be. These "nurses" should count themselves very fortunate if all that happens to them is losing their license. They deserve to be prosecuted.

    Sherwin Williams Account

Not my experience, particularly in regards to quality. HD Behr paint is nothing like it was 20 years ago. I can't speak for Lowes paint, as I haven't used it for a very long time, but even the SW paints sold at Lowes are formulated specifically for Lowes, and are not the same as what is sold...

    Sherwin Williams Account

No friends or family that has a SW commercial account, that would let you use it? A second cousin three times removed? The childhood friend that is now a contractor? Don't they run sales even better than that a few times a year? Not sure, as I always get everything in the SW store at 40 -...

There has to be a better way to clean auto glass than using microfiber towels that leave lint

I've tried the newspaper thing a long time ago. It was awful!!! My hands were filthy black from newspaper print. It doesn't, or at least it shouldn't, take a genius to deduce that if after rubbing a newspaper back and forth on my windshield leaves that much ink on my hands, where else has it...

Female Neighbor Takes 2018 Corolla to the Stealership for 100k Service

So that's the thanks you get for trying to give people options.

Need recommendation - 30 weight non-detergent motor oil

You are not going to find any modern motor oil with absolutely no additives. Are non-motor oils graded by viscosity, like motor oils? The HD on the Super Tech bottle stands for High Detergent. Not what the OP is looking for.

    Overfilled from the factory?

Reports of factory fill being off always boggle my mind. Anyone who has worked in an assembly plant can correct me if I'm wrong, but from the few visits I have done to assembly plants, fluid fills are carefully metered and controlled by the process equipment. The tech just pushes a button and...

    Galaxies Underestimated

Worlds without number... It is absolutely mind boggling. The more we learn, the more we find out we don't know.

There has to be a better way to clean auto glass than using microfiber towels that leave lint

The only time I've had a problem with lint on a windshield, is when I have used brand new towels, without washing them. One of the most important steps in washing microfiber towels that you are going to use for detailing your car, is a second rinse.

Nursing school owner pleads guilty to selling nearly 3,000 fraudulent nursing diplomas

Agreed. Even if they were able to demonstrate by passing the test, that they have the field of knowledge necessary to do the job, they have also demonstrated a lack of the moral character, that should be part of people in any professional career, particularly in the health industry. Their...
