    87 BMW 325 eta M20B27 high metals, 1700mi M1 0w40

Andyd, eta's have the 2.7l, M20B27, the 325i's got the 2.5l engines M20B25. He has swap is a pain since you can't keep eta pistons. To do it right costs at least 3-5k, which is not worth it to me. Although it sounds cool.

    87 BMW 325 eta M20B27 high metals, 1700mi M1 0w40

Overkill, my nose tells me that fuel is in the oil, and its a real time biochemical sensor with a detection limit of about 1ppm.

5K on Castrol when I used to AutoX: Iron 8 (vs 16) Lead 7 (vs 12) Does this really look like "use that it has seen was probably tough on internal parts."? Blackstone seems to think there is negligible fuel in the oil: "The trace of fuel is harmless and the viscosity was fine for a 0W/40." M1 in...

    87 BMW 325 eta M20B27 high metals, 1700mi M1 0w40

Only two days on the track, only 1700 miles. I don't seem to have good luck with M1. Castrol GTX is looking WAY better or are two track days all that hard on the tractor like eta engine? EQUIP. MAKE/MODEL: BMW 2.7L (M20B27) 6-Cylinder OIL TYPE & GRADE:Mobil 1 0W/40 OIL USE INTERVAL:1,703...

12K on some M1 5w30 lots of Iron with Mobile 1

I pour it in and have no idea where it goes. I used Honda 5W20 for the first 70k, then started using MC5000 5w20. I wonder if those low wt oils didn't protect the engine enough. But I have and old UAO with MC5000 5w20 and 6Kmiles that looked great.

12K on some M1 5w30 lots of Iron with Mobile 1

I tried to go a year on this oil and a Honda filter with top offs. 2004 Honda Accord 2.4 I4, mostly driven in the city, but had at least 7k of road trips on this oil. The last top off quart of oil was M1 10w30 because I didn't have anything else laying around. My goal was to just change my oil...

    M1 5w-30 4,613 mi

Clevy, I've taken it in a few times to a good mechanic. First talked to me about using the AC and it dropping my fuel economy. As if I hadn't used the AC during my previous 10 years of owning the car. Then they took the car for a day plugged it into the computer and got no engine codes. This car...

    M1 5w-30 4,613 mi

The car doesn't pull to one side or the other. The car is a manual with Redline MTL, changed every 30k. When the car was a about a year old it averaged 33 mpg on a trip from North Carolina to Idaho, with the A/C on and non-conservative driving. I've had similar fuel economy on other cross...

    M1 5w-30 4,613 mi

I replaced the O2 sensor in front of the catalytic converter, aka the Air Fuel Ratio sensor. It was a DESNO sensor, exactly like the one the car came with. Also replaced all the spark plugs last Summer with NKG iridiums (also exact stock replacements). No check engine light. Also no codes when...

Could I have a small head gasket leak? Blackstone says M1 doesn't have Na. I only use Honda antifreeze, maybe the Honda antifreeze doesn't have Potassium Phosphorus that you would see with Na in a coolant leak, and thus I would only see Na?

Hello, I have 118,145 mi on a 2004 Honda Accord 2.4L I4. It has been getting 15-23 mpg, and loss of power for the last few months. It used to get 25-30 mpg. I've kept the maintenance schedule. UOA has 52 ppm Na. Blackstone thinks I should try another oil? Could I have a small head gasket leak...
