Amsoil Engine Flush vs BG EPR

Those are a great engine... The flush will help clean the vvti screen and general areas. Wont hurt anything at all. Those are known for the intake gasket getting old, hard and leaking. The new gasket is orange silicone and takes a hour to install. Those are also known to high idle and even worse...

    Air filter for K&N FIPK

I bought a vehicle with an intake and was in the same boat. The original setup is ideal and better but could not be found without big $$$. I found that you can get a Aem dryflow in about any size. I also bought the filter wrap for it also to help keep it dryer and the big bugs out of it. The...

    HF 21 Gal Compressor

I had the $150 harbor freight for 3 weeks before it continually tripped the reset. The break in was done to the tee, oil changed, 25amp ckt and it would start and slow down and pop the reset. I would read all the reviews and youtube vids if anyone is wanting to try one. They have a reputation...

If the vehicle is in good condition then why not put a new transmission in it with better internals. You know what a newer suburban costs right? My brother broke 2 4l60e's in his 97 and even put in a new gm crate long block. He has over 400k (100k new engine). He hauls kids and beats the snot...

2006 sienna sloppy shifting with full fluid

Did you pull the pan or filter? I've heard of filters being changed and not seated right causing all kinds of shift issues at different levels. I believe that its also adaptive so if you have not pulled battery cable and let it sit for a hour or so. I use maxlife and Lubegard red in my...

Toyota Sequoia - Oil and OCI suggestions?

Sequoia are also known for frame rust also. Look at the inside of the rails towards the rear link mounts and along the exhaust side. You can also stick your fingers inside the frame holes and feel for rust flaking. These rust from the inside out. I fluid film the inside of the frame and...

Toyota Sequoia - Oil and OCI suggestions?

I use whatever 5w30 is on sale and a fram ultra 3614 on my 2005. It is used in the midwest and gets typical severe soccer mom duties. The oil is changed at 5k intervals and the filter at 15k. Your biggest concern should be the timing belt and if its been changed. At 145k its way over due. The...

Engine burning oil. What to do?

I've had multiple toyota with bad valve stem seals. Your situation sounds very similar to bad stem seals. You can do the stem seals on the head. The fix is cheap but it all depends on how much you want to do it.

    What F150 engine?

Your best bet is to go on the f150 forums and research the EB's for failure trends of the stretched timing chain, phasers, internal water pump leak into the oil pan, thrown rods from slighlty overfilled oil, cac filling up with water, carbon etc.. Some of those maybe fixed now but it seems very...

Snow Joe Ultra SJ623E Motor Break-in Help

I always run mixers, drills, fans and saws for a bit to listen for noises. It's funny you say that because I worked at a hobby store and broke in hundreds of 27turn trinity stock motors for races. I still have most of my rc stuff today. Let us know how that machine works out for you.

    2008 Tundra

I have a 2012.. price can be all over due to location and demand. I had 2 to choose from in 100 miles. I paid a little more than I wanted for mine. A 2008 would probably be around 10k. For those early ones water pump, bed rust (under bed),aip failure (can be bypassed), cam tower oil leak. I...
