My Accord has over 170,000 miles on it now. Recommends 5W-20. I know without actually measuring the bearings that it's really a guessing game, but is there a general rule of thumb to increase oil weight to compensate for bearing wear over time? Would it be beneficial to perhaps switch to a 5w-30?
