My BMW was made in Germany. I am sure that the 5W30 oil(Castrol) sold by the dealers and made in the USA is not used at the factory. Can anyone tell me which viscosity and blend of Castrol is used as factory fill. I have a 2008 335i in which I use GC 0W30. Sorry if this has been answered before...

Can someone tell me what oil is in the "BMW HIGH PERFORMANCE SYNTHETIC 5W30" USED AND SOLD AT THE BMW DEALERSHIPS? I realize it's Castrol, but which blend, exactly? Thanks!

I use THE STUFF in my BMW's, and was wondering whether or not to put it in my wife's '05 Subaru Legacy. Been running Amsoil 5W-30. I'm not too concerned about loss of fuel economy, because the car has none. It's only getting 17 to 20 NOW. THANKS!

I just purchaced three cases of GC, Model year 2005, to go along with the 7 bottles of vintage 2003 that I have on hand. There seems to be a growing concern, or at least speculation, about the difference in perceived quality. Whats up? Is it the same great stuff or is it somehow....changed...
