    HTHS observations.

I usually use Delvac MX 15w-40 in my 2005 sportster but was in the local parts store and they didn't have any. I bought Castrol Activ 4T 15w-50 instead, as recommended by Castrol. What i found interesting is that the 15-40 Delvac has an HTHS of 4.3 and the Activ 4T 15-50 is 4.1. This is even...

    Oil filter efficiency.

Hi Guy's, I have a Ryco Z87A oil filter on my bike and Ryco tell me its 91.37% at 30 micron. Is this a good spec? How does it compare to say a 10 micron filter? Sorry for my ignorance but I expected a beta ratio spec but this is what they told me. Cheers.

    Oil pressure and bypass pressure.

I have noticed the forum has been quiet lately so thought i would comment on some observations I've made and see what others think. I have installed a 0-30 psi oil pressure guage on my Sportster to see what the pressure was following a switch to Delvac 15W-40. Just to be sure the viscosity was...
