Why hasn't Hyundai moved on to 0w oil?

Spent a couple of hours hitting 4 or 5 oil manufacturers websites and looking at product data sheets for different viscosity ratings. To my surprise they are all very close at viscosity ratings at different temperatures.I was surprised to see that most 5w30 is slightly thinner than 0w30 if I can...

Why hasn't Hyundai moved on to 0w oil?

Been doing 3k for 30 years on mineral oil. Gonna do 5k with synthetic. My dealer uses Mobil 1 5w20. Whats the difference in thickness between 5w20 and 0w30? I know very little about synthetics other than there very confusing.

lubedude what are your thoughts for using 0w? I was just thinking a little thinner oil getting up to the turbo faster. Especially during the winter months.

Why hasn't Hyundai moved on to 0w oil?

Hi guys, Just bought a 2013 Santa Fe turbo. Manual calls for 5w20,5w30 or 10w30. This is my first turbo so I want to use synthetic. Still debating what brand/weight to use. Any advice on that would be welcome. Anyways, does anybody know why Hyundai isn't specifying 0w oil like most other...
