Looking for a new lawn mower

I ran across the attached video that I thought may be helpful for any of you researching your next mower purchase. I was not aware that Honda has exited the market, and so has Snapper. Like the video blogger mentioned, I am amazed that the gas engine mower choices are getting smaller...

    Carmaker Nissan on borrowed time?

Every OEM has had issues. Some more than others, and everyone who has ever owned any car has also had bad experiences......again some more than others. I think Nissan was once a really solid company. That can be said about other OEMs too at some point in their lives with some models. From...

Interesting video recommended for hard core BITOG members that provides detail and reasoning on GMs switch of viscosity oil in recalled GM V8 engines. Warning, this is a very technical video but provides some good insight as to why the old argument of thick vs thin comes into play with modern...

Frame Rust Control - How Did You Do It?

I not sure 2 quarts would be enough. I think if the frame has any pitting at all may want to coat each of those areas twice.

Frame Rust Control - How Did You Do It?

I would use Eastwood Rust Converter first. Make sure you can get inside the frame too if possible. Then use one of the other topical products mentioned above.....Fluid Film, Krown, or woolwax product.

I made the move back to cast iron cooking

I am no expert on this subject, but there seems to be a lot of interest now in replacing olive oil with avacado oil. Suppose to be healthier, and easier to cook with. There is a lady on YT named Tipper, her channel is Celebrating Appalachia. Almost everything she cooks is done in cast...

Tattoo ink exposure associated with lymphoma, skin cancers – Danish study of twins

I believe the human skin is the largest physical part of your physiological immune system. It seems to me that common sense would dictate that it may not be advantageous to inject it with a foreign chemical(s) that remains in it as a permanent part of the skin layer. Please also view (if you...

Chrysler 3.8L ... exhaust ticking vs. lifter noise?

I had a lifter fail on my 4.7 V8. I was able to quickly diagnose it by removing the valve cover. Yes, it will make somewhat of mess running the engine with oil being slung from the suspected bank, but you should be able to hear the noise source without issue.

Guys thanks for all of the feedback. It looks like I am on the same page as most of you. Truth be told, I have never lived in a house with a heat pump. I did however live in a house while I was in college that had electric baseboard heat. The house was built in the mid 60's and did not...
