What oil for '19 Subaru WRX?

OP here. Thanks everyone for the replies and information. I am going to wait until 3k for my first oil change instead of 1k after seeing multiple recommendations for that. Also I am going to use PP 5w-30 with 4k OCIs. I'll send my oil out to get checked after the summer is over to see how...

    Can I use M1 0w40 in '05 Landcruiser?

Thanks guys for all the responses. I stocked up 16qts of 5w30EP that I got on sale for $4/qt (ya I know not as good as some of the $1/qt steals people got) so I'll use that until the next deal comes along. If I see 0w40 for cheap I wont hesitate to try it.

    Can I use M1 0w40 in '05 Landcruiser?

Yes it is the 4.7l V8. Manual recommends 5w30 but I keep reading how the 0w40 is a higher quality oil than 5w30 EP, and considering I can occasionally get 0w40 cheaper I figured it might be worth a try. Just was worried it might be too thin an oil for this specific motor, etc etc.

    Can I use M1 0w40 in '05 Landcruiser?

Anyone using m1 0w40 on a 100 series landcruiser? I'm running m1 5w30 ep now but would like to try 0w40 in the future.

Last question for you guys. I am going to go with Mobil 1 EP. Manual states 5w30, and the 100 series Land cruisers were not back specced to 0w20. Do you guys think it would be a good idea to run 0w30? Any negatives?

Is the Mobil 1 HM a true synthetic like the EP? I remember for a while Mobil 1 synthetic wasn't really full synthetic, etc. What change interval would you recommend with the HM?

    2005 Toyota Landcruiser

05 Landcruiser with 60k miles on it. Just purchased from first owner. Looking to do 10k oil changes with a good quality synthetic. Can do ~7500 if 10k is extreme. Not a daily driver, mix of long and short trips. 5w30 is what manual calls for. Any recommendations?
