Anybody use Shell Rotella T1 SAE 40 in boats?

Mercruiser's own oil is multi-weight. I would get Rotella T 15W40. The 15W40 and 40 will be the same viscosity at operating temp, just the 15W40 will flow better at startup. I do not see any reason to use a straight weight oil. The guy who rebuilt the engine may know machining but doubt he is an...

What would you do in my situation?

What year Jeep and how many miles? The transmission Jeep for SelecTrac was an excellent transmission and was a true 4WD transmission with a transfer case. I am not sure Jeep makes good AWD drives. To give some words for the Compass, vehicles do need front end work (tie rods, ball joints...

    Air Compressor- Heavy Duty

Air inflator and heavy duty are an oxymoron. I have been using a small tire inflator for 20 or so years. I would not say it's heavy duty but it has filled all the tires I need to inflate including truck, trailer and Bobcat. Heavy duty would be one that ran pneumatic tools several days per week.

    high metals vs oci

You will get xxx ppm of iron and other metals per 1000 miles. Some engines will have more and some less. Many people use UOAs to develop a baseline. If you UOA show 20 ppm per 7500 OCI consistently then one goes to 50, you know something is wrong, probably air intake.

Dead Battery Recovery (6A -> Battery Minder Plus)

The proper tests are a load test of 50% of the CCA and a test with a Midtronics like tester. It should be fully charged before you run the load test.

    Which Turbo Tax?

I prefer the HR Block program over TurboTax but both are good. I did not like TaxAct. Typically the differences between the levels of TurboTax and HR Block are whether you want it to do state and whether you want to e-file both. There are several products that allow you to do free e-file of...

    Vacuum Cleaner Recommendation

The Eureka Smartboss gets good ratings from Consumer Reports and as a best buy. I have one on each floor. Its around $150. I agree with getting a bagged vacuum vs bagless. Some newer vacuums have a direct drive of the beater bar which eliminates belts.

    Dampri

Damprid sells a couple of different types. One type is in a 1 gallon bucket and the absorbent is sitting at the bottom of the bucket not suspended like the smaller ones. Is the absorbent just clay cat litter and calcium chloride? Looking to refill the larger ones.

    Advice on WIFES ticket

Consider the fine & insurance rate increase and it might make sense to get a lawyer. But it still would be best to judge the landscape. Maybe you go to traffic court now and watch. See how things go. If you hire a lawyer and he files for discovery, its then unlikely you will be given any...

Buy 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8??

what does "dead reliable" mean? If your buying a used car in MN, check for rust and if not too bad and you buy the car then use CarWell or FF or Krown to keep the rust from becoming an issue.
