Just ran out of bar lube for my Husky chain saw. I have a gallon of used Redline 10w40 in my shed...was wondering if anyone has ever used motor oil for bar lube?

As the thread states what's the difference in the two? BTW I haven't seen "ultra" in a while. About 6 months ago a Kmart was going out of business and had both in 5 quart jugs for $12 dollars. Came back a couple days later to buy all they had and all was gone
Being somewhat lazy, is there one grease(I don't mind paying more)that would do a good job on anything fron U joints, to cv joints, to spendle jerks, lawn equipment, general purpose, etc. Red Line, Amsoil???
In a few more thousand miles I'm going to change or flush my ATF in my 07 tundra 5.7. The shops with the machine say it's very beneficial to flush all the old lubricant out...The other shops(without the machine)say it does more harm than good to flush the system. They would rather drop the pan...
First post here fellows...I just dumped in 8 qts of 0w-30 RL oil in my truck. Will not be driving this vehicle more than 6 to 7 thousand miles in the next two years. How long time wise can you leave a group 5 synthetic or for that matter any oil in the crankcase of a vehicle?
