    Change filter- Garage Queen

70 year Old Geezer here with physical issues. Don't trust anyone to do my oil changes. I have 8 garage queens that get driven once a week here in Texas for 10 miles each to fully bring oil up to temp. One of these vehicles is a 16 Challenger Scat Pack 392 - 485 HP non turbo/supercharger. Bought...

    Pressure Washer - Racing Oil?

OP Here this is for the crankcase. Valvoline Racing 10w30 is designed for racing car engines under SEVERE racing conditions - high RPM -extreme loads and very high heat. It is not recommended for use on public streets and needs to be changed often. I have several quarts that (I want to use in...

    Pressure Washer - Racing Oil?

pressure washer calls for 30 wt. or 10w30. I have a lot of Valvoline RACING oil 10w30. Not rated and probably has no detergent additive. Should stand up to the very heavy loads and high summertime heat. This unit bakes oil real quick. What say ye?

Test drove a few trucks. Ram Pentstar V6?

I have owned 2 Hemi Ram V8's and 2 Jeep Wranglers with the 3.6 Pentastar. I have to say the 3.6 is a weak motor that is stressed just pushing around a 4000 pound Jeep. I don't care what it says on paper, this thing is always revving and shifting up and down. I'm sure it is a tough LITTLE motor...

Brand New Truck with 7 Hours of Idle Time

I have a lot of serious stuff to worry about for sure. I'm really not freaked out about it - just thought it was a mildly interesting topic and wanted a few expert opinions that's all. It probably ain't hurt. Being a BITOGER I was gonna change the oil around 1500 miles anyway. The truck is...

Brand New Truck with 7 Hours of Idle Time

I'm the OP. Owned a VW shop for 13 years. We overhauled motors and were very careful about seating the rings. The only reason I am concerned about this is the fact that it was BRAND Friggin' NEW motor. Cylinder walls can glaze and the rings will NEVER seat during this abuse. I'm gonna run the...

Brand New Truck with 7 Hours of Idle Time

Is it damaged? Will it break in properly? Kind of a bummer for $50K! 2019 Ram Hemi 5.7 Truck had 20 miles on it when I paid for it. Drove it for 400 miles on highway trip. Flipped through the menus and noticed it had 10 hours driving time but 7 HOURS of idling on it. I suspect that employees at...

    2016 Cadillac CTS-OLM at 60% after 900 hwy miles!

Thanks guys for all your helpful insight, much appreciated. I owned 3 C5's and one C6 Vette over an 18 year period and the OLM's never ran down based on time. I averaged about 4K per year in those. One thing I failed to mention is that we are out in the Central Texas hill country and the weather...

    2016 Cadillac CTS-OLM at 60% after 900 hwy miles!

Bought 2016 2.0 Turbo CTS with 1,036 actual miles and 13 months old. Elderly lady passed away not long after buying the car. Oil Life Monitor was at ZERO. I figured lots of very short trips to the store, doctor etc. I immediately changed the oil/filter myself using Mobil 1 in the proper...
