If you are doing inner tie rods, there's a tool you can get from Autozone that makes the job easy... basically a big pipe that holds crows-foot wrenches on the end.

Might try the sway bar links first since IME they are the most common cause of clunks and also they are E-Z to replace. Sway bar links will clunk when one wheel hits a bump, but NOT SO MUCH if both wheels are hitting it at the same time, like a speed bump.

I think the purpose for those ramps is if you have a really low car, you drive it up onto the ramps and it gives you a couple inches of clearance so that you can get a jack under it.

I think my Ranger was at 305-310k when the slave died. Clutch plate still looked good. Two teens learned on it. My Accord started slipping at 220k. Volvo s40 T5 was still good at 250k+ (285?) when the car was totaled.
