I'm pleasantly surprised that a government agency doesn't conflate AWD with 4WD but they’re going to have to change some rules as electric trucks start to flood the market . They don’t need a transfer case or low gearing to generate large amounts of torque and control at low speeds.
It's not just a Ram issue. There are absolutely no new cars worth their asking price being sold today and I don't want to wrangle with dealer scum either.
Porsche is investing millions into this with a plant located in Chile specifically so that they can try to keep the 911 using a proper gasoline engine as long as possible. It won't be cheaper than normal gasoline but I'm all for it. Electric doesn't work and will never work.
I already won't buy anything newer than 2018 with the mandated backup camera. I have eyes, ears, and a brain and they still work. This will likely cause more low speed rear end collisions if anything.
I have 2 burner phones and absolutely none of my info is stored on them. I only use VPNs and don't have any banking apps, no social media crap or anything that can track my location.
All cylinders must be firing under all conditions at all times. I will never own a car that can't fulfill that. If I have to turn it off every trip then it isn't worth having.
We were all born with safety nannies called eyes, ears, and a brain. If you can't use all three then GET OFF THE ROAD. Get yourself a bus pass if you have to use these as a crutch in your commute.
