Nissan DLR put 0w20 in car that specs 5w30. worry?

Check the owners manual again. The manual for my 2016 Nissan Rogue states to use 0W20 but 5W30 conventional is acceptable. Their wording re: 5W30 conventional

Best and Worst SET of tires you've ever put on

Best All Season: Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring on a 2016 Nissan Rogue. Quiet, great stability in corners. Great dry traction and good wet. Have not used them in snow. I use winter tires Best Winter: Eternity Winter Warrior. Yes, a Chinese Michelin subsidiary but these things cut through snow, hard...

    Mobil 3000

I noticed this oil on Imperial Oil's website the other day. Only available in 0W20 and a 5W30. I was wondering if this is similar to or the same as Mobil Super Synthetic. http://www.mobil.ca/Canada-English-LCW/carengineoils_products_mobil-super_3000-0w20.aspx

That's great. I can get it easily and I like Meguier's products

    Interesting observation on Ultra

I find that QSUD and Petro Canada oils also have a reddish tinge at times when drained.

What polish/wax to apply before Collinite 845

I've read many posts saying to wax before applyingCollinite 845. I'm washing my 2011 matrix today. The paint is quite dirty. After I wash with Zip Wax and clay, what product/wax should I apply before I apply the 845.

    Better mileage from premium gas?

I've only seen an improvement of 1-2 mpg using Shell V Power 91 which is E0 up here. Essa, Petro Canada, Ultramar and Husky premiums are all E10 and I've not seen any change with those. I think in the average engine, ethanol content has more of a fuel economy effect than octane rating

    New 2016 Nissan Rogue

It is interesting that the manual states to use 0W20 but that 5W30 may also be used and will not affect warranty

USA toyota lies about oil viscosity for 2GR-FE

I have 200000 miles on my 2006 Sienna with the 3.3 V6 ( the precursor to the 3.5) and I've only run 0 or 5w20 since new. No piston slap or top end noise. Runs perfectly. I call [censored] on these engines needing anything heavier

    My truck hates TGMO

TGMO is fine if the manufacturer calls for an SN GF5 0W20. I believe ford has their own spec which TGMO does not meet. Just use Motorcraft oil

what does your company fleet use?

Our EMS fleet is serviced at the regional maintenance yard. The Ford PSD units get Petro Canada Duron 15W40. The gas powered Chevy units get Petro Canada Supreme Synthetic 5W30 (Dexos approved). The Ford expedition Rapid Response units and supervisor units get PC supreme 5W20. The filters are Wix

    TGMO Pricing/Decision

In Canada, it's a no brainer. Good luck finding any 0W20 for $5.60 a litre. TGMO is the only 0W20 priced that low

    5w-30 multi car suggestion

Amsoil Signature Series is only worth it if you plan to extend your OCIs (backed up with UOA data of course). You won't go wrong with a quality dinosaur for 5k intervals

GTL vs PAO vs Esters vs Grp 3

No one is evading your question. Each of the above base stocks have their pluses and weaknesses. Tribologists make a finished product out of various blends of different base stocks. That way, they can arrive at a final mix that will meet the specs they want it to meet. No oil will be only one...

    Back to conventional oils

OP, I think you will be hard pressed to find a true conventional oil that meets SN GF5. To meet the specs nowadays, I would suspect most conventional oils have a bit to a fair amount of GIII blended in
