    Brake Pedal Sinking

Thank for the replies guys. Just came back from the mechanic. Bad news. ABS valve body is leaking such that it is not holding the valve closed when ABS is not needed. Brake fluid is leaking past the valve, causing the brake pedal to sink. This would explain the symptoms. No drips or loss of...

    Brake Pedal Sinking

Hey Guys, Have a '03 Lexus RX300 exhibiting sinking brake pedal at stoplights primarily. Also while pedal is sinking, it would seemingly reduce pedal force and I can feel the pads loosening its hold on the rotor. Felt like classic case of bad master cylinder. Ordered a brand new original Lexus...

classic case of caliper piston seized. it comes out a little to brake but won't push back. Looks like you;re in for a caliper rebuild job. but if I were you, I would put in a new or quality rebuilt caliper. Items sch as brakes, I don't want to mess around with. When you need them, you need...

    Inner Tie-rod removal

Hi guys, Have a 2003 Lexus RX300. Inner tie-rod is bad and needs R&R. Looked at service manual and advises the end of steering rack be held on with a wrench while loosening the tie-rod end. Granted, they also show the entire rack housing being removed and have easy access to the rack itself...

Think I these plugs are done. ;) 01 Grand Caravan

You seem to have some "blow-by" on the 3rd and 4th plugs. Seems like a lot of carbonization past the threads and even coating the ceramic insulator. Make sure that the engine block threads are threaded right and he new plugs are tightened to spec.

    Brake fluid bleeding

Nope. You need to bleed the rears too if you want to change the fluid out the back.

Brakes are rough and making noise

The caliper pistons could be sticking. BTW, bearings do not need to feel loose to make sounds.

Oil pan drain bolt or oil pan threads stipped?

Instead of tightening it with a breaker bar, you need a washer. The threads do not look broken at the tip of the bolt. it could be a magnet there. The lines around the top do not match the thread of the bolt.
