Imagine changing the fuel filter in your Quadrajet, and dropping the wrench on your alternator output. Now your garage and house are burning down because you couldn't imagine why you should disconnect the battery.

Crosley 4 cylinders had this config. My dad had Crosley outboard boat motors made by homelite, fisher-pearce, and bearcat that had the 90* shaft driven ohc.

I will probably pull it to tear down and clean out. I'll inspect it and throw it back together to drive as a 4 apeed untill parts arrive. Or just keep driving the Yukon until its fixed properly. As long as I can find parts I will rebuild rather than replace.

Drove up Roman Nose Mountain near Walton, OR today with my daughters. Truck was running great, new Yukon Duragrip was working good.

Diff is brand new and I could smell the fm in the clutches already prior to installation. Gear oil is non lsd dino O'rielys house brand. I do offroading where wheel spin is common.

Yesterday I installed a Yukon Duragrip in my '04 Yukon with the 8.6" 10 bolt. I used approximately 2.5Qt of 80/90wt gear oil and what I guessed to be 2oz (about half of a 4oz bottle.) I was surprised that the diff was quiet the first drive while turning in a circle at full lock both directions...

I'm only running 24gb 6x4gb.

I currently have an Asus X58 Sabertooth running a Xeon X5680. X58 platforms still perform really well and if your's does everything you need then there is really no need to replace it. The same level of performance would cost more than the $250 you might get for the MOBO, CPU, and RAM.
