Thanks @Cujet I recall you mentioning this on I think it was my free generator post. I can recognize that on non-liquid cooled OPE, you can really work that oil and this is what I want a robust product for. On liquid cooled atvs, tractor, etc, different story.

Like others have mentioned, sounds like some under windshield cowl air intake drain vents are clogged. Usually there'll be drains to the ground and the HVAC air intake sits a bit higher. If they're clogged, with enough water to overcome that higher level + soapy water and HVAC blower velocity...

I feel the same way. I'd hate (and have hated) when taking a vehicle in for warranty repairs the thoughts of what might get scratched/banged up from the need for the tech to be fast. Not saying I blame the tech as I know flat rate through and through... and that it doesn't always allow a tech...

This is what keeps me in GM full size trucks and SUVs. Especially GMT800s, 99-07 classic. Multiple grades and quality levels of parts. Even multiple sellers and locations. Even eBay junk china parts in a pinch.

Do you have any codes in the PCM or any CEL/MIL on? Check all air intake/air path for any loose couplers.

Your truck might be a good candidate for the BG treatment. I've seen it used with some decent results. BG Engine Flush Kit

Have you ever replaced the pickup tube o-ring? That could be contributing to your lifter tick.
