    Cast iron boiler turned off for summer?

    our house was built in 1965 and still have the original boiler. In Summer time I always turned it off by unplugging the unit and shutting off the pilot light as did the previous owner. never had any issues with it and fires right up in the winter. I also flush and bleed the system yearly.

    What is the worst vehicle you have owned and why?

    I have to say my 1991 pathfinder. It’s way underpowered and gets 15 mpg. I daily drove it for over 10years and now It’s driven maybe 3X/Mo. The thing just won’t give up. I bought this truck in 2000 with 100k miles, it now has 250k miles.

    Anybody else switching over to CK-4/SN?

    Switching 3 cars to rotella T4 10w30 ( 1994 Toyota pick up 2.4, 1995 land cruiser and 1991 pathfinder) all 3 cars calls for 30wt or thicker. I will be running them at 5k OCI too.

    on my 02 Mustang GT I changed the factory fluid at 4K miles with Amsoil ATF (3 quarts and 28 ounces came out and I put in 3 quarts 6 ounces per TSB).     Mercedes ML 350 Filter

    2012 Mercedes ML350 3.5L 60K miles. 10K OCI with M1 0w40. This time I put in 8 quarts of Castrol 5w40 and MB filter ( $25 from the dealer and $6 for a copper drain plug washer) yikes! My sister didn't give me much of notice to buy the filter else where and the dealer is only a mile down the road.

    Another possibility is that it was left running by accident. I see that too often with keyless ignition.

    Engine bay detail

    I detailed my engine at 1am this morning, couldn't sleep. I've never sprayed water to clean the motor instead, I use Air blaster blower first to blow the dust and sand off and then I wipe everything down with Meguiars APC mixed with a bucket of water.

    we Only a UOA will tell you if the viscosity is holding up. I have a sample of M1 5w30 with 5k miles waiting to be mailed out. Its from my 2011 G37 with 60k miles. I'm itching to try M1 0w40 but, I'll wait till I get my UOA report back and decide from there..

    Car: 91' Nissan Pathfinder with 245000 Miles. Filter was ran for 7K miles (2) 3500 OCI with PYB.

    car: 2011 Toyota Tacoma V6 70K miles. Filter was ran for 10k miles, (2) 5k miles OCI. Oil used Mobil 5000. No Tears or problems with the filter.

    Thanks for sharing this. I was thinking of running this oil in my G37 also, currently running M1 5w30. Whats the reason for going to a thicker oil? It doesn't look like it help much with the wear. Have you noticed a hit with gas the mileage or sluggishness ?

    Tremec 3650 fluid 02 Mustang

    I emailed TREMEC years ago about their recommendation for that specific tranny and they recommended Dexron III.... I've been running Amsoil ATF in mine for about 13k miles with no complaints. I drained the factory fill at 5k miles.
