Ok,so a buddy of mine has a 2003 chevy 2500hd with the 6.0 vortec.he's runnin 10w30 vwb but I think his manual says 5w-30. The other morning it was about -32 and he started it up to go to work,the pressure gage stayed down on zero for aboout 5 seconds and then it shot right up to about 60+psi...

I was wondering about 5w30 in the town and country. 2006 w/3.3 v6 151xxx miles. I'm currently using castrol gtx or gtx high mileage 5w20...it depends on availibility. I was wondering if 5w30 would quiet down the valvetrain a bit or not. Anyone else ever do this? Good results? Bad results? No chang?
