    NYS Boat Trailer Registration

Thanks for your unsolicited opinion. No worries. I have physical possession of the goods and signatures. Your opinion of concern would be for such an arrangement from the unknown character of the seller. As stated, this is a neighbor. Reading comprehension is essential.

    NYS Boat Trailer Registration

Finally got through to the call center. Very helpful. Surprised really. Since the trailer was not registered in the last five years, the expired registration has been archived. I have to request an abstract and include a photo of the plate and 2012 sticker, the previous owner with their NYsLIC...

    NYS Boat Trailer Registration

In reading NYSDMV, to register a homemade trailer, they want to see your raw materials invoices, along with the required safety, DOT and lighting specifications met. Once approved, they will assign a VIN. As posted, I definitely have a manufactured trailer with no VIN and it's only...

    NYS Boat Trailer Registration

The problem still remains that I do not have a VIN to refer to to Dyno tape and trace to paper. If I had the actual VIN either from the previous owner's registration or had a Manufacturer'sstickered/etched, I would just go forward with the standard forms and indicate I am the new registered owner.

    NYS Boat Trailer Registration

I am looking to hear from someone who has handled the below problem with a New York State boat trailer registration. I am aware what the NYSDMV has on their site. I have purchased a used boat trailer here in New York last registered in 2012. I have the expired 2012 registration tag on the NYS...

    P0442 Chevy avalanche

Excellent. I see this post as the staple sample of how this forum and site shares. Common sense fixes for the DIYer's mechanical issues.

any skinny on a 2008 lacrosse?

I own the 2007 model. I've owned several 3800 Series cars. All but this Series III and a Supercharged Ultra had gasket issues but overall good cars. You will likely need struts on the corners if not done already. If available for under $3500. Take it.

    Pumping pond water

I use the following water setup for running lawn sprinklers and drip hoses in vegetable gardens. I do not have a pond but a stream running through the property. More than ten years ago, I dug a three foot wide hole about 10 feet to the side of the stream. At about eight feet down, I struck...

Old time hockey: Henri Richard RIP

As a young lad growing up in a small hamlet 12 miles south of the Canadien border, it was always a treat to turn the outside antenna to the north for CBMT or current CFCF 12 and watch Richard and Goalie Gump Worsley play the game of hockey then later in the week gather the lads upon the local...

    2005 Ford Ranger FX4 Off-Road

I purchased my 2008 Ranger 4WD XLT @ 74k with the regular 3.73 rear differential maybe two months prior to your original post. I used the 75W140 since like you, do not use the truck in the winter. I chose to go with the 75W140 since I will tow a bass boat and fill up the bed with lumber on...

2005 Ford Ranger extended cab FX4

I just picked up a 2008 for a much better price this summer. I have posted photos on site as requested. If it is a NY vehicle be sure you have the frame checked out. Some will not pass inspection. If you look on "for sale" marketplaces, you'll see ads for Ranger owners parting out due to such...

    Blade for brush cutter

I have a Stihl FS130 for the various needs on the property. It has the grass trimmer, the attachment for three nylon blades and the circular saw-like blade. The blade attachment is fantastic when I have to cut the raspberry plants back in late Fall as well as young saplings growing into seldom...
