The problem still remains that I do not have a VIN to refer to to Dyno tape and trace to paper. If I had the actual VIN either from the previous owner's registration or had a Manufacturer'sstickered/etched, I would just go forward with the standard forms and indicate I am the new registered owner.

I own the 2007 model. I've owned several 3800 Series cars. All but this Series III and a Supercharged Ultra had gasket issues but overall good cars. You will likely need struts on the corners if not done already. If available for under $3500. Take it.
