    Need a New Pocket Knife

I really like Ontario Knife Company. My favorite knife is an OKC Rat II. It looks like this: https://www.amazon.com/Ontario-8848-Folding-Knife-Black/dp/B0013ASG3E/ref=sr_1_1?s=power-hand-tools&rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1478906525&sr=1-1&keywords=Ontario+Knife+Company&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011 It...

Musk suggests a robot tax ? Basic Universal Income

There will come a day when there will be 5 foot tall carbon fiber and Aluminum robots, with a sophisticated battery, will be in your home doing everything for you. Need dinner made? A haircut? A security guard? Pants mended? Laundry done? If you could only see the final product, you would know...

2015 Honda Fit Fuel Pump went out.

Stuff like this is what is doing Honda in. For a next vehicle I am looking at Toyota more and more after hearing good experiences co-workers are having with Toyota for warranty work, TSBs etc.

Musk suggests a robot tax ? Basic Universal Income

I would be interested to see what effect these concepts would have on the future of crime as well, and the expense. If people had more time to improve communities that they lived in rather than pounding out horseshoes or wrapping buggy whips all day, or commuting 2 hours each way to a garbage...

Musk suggests a robot tax ? Basic Universal Income

Everyone, including Computer Engineers, will eventually be left behind. Right now we are embarking on self-driving cars and trucks. The way basic income works is everyone gets the same boost. Anything you envision beyond that in which you can improve the world around you opens up infinite...

Musk suggests a robot tax ? Basic Universal Income

People have been eating and buying with printed money that was purely faith based value forever now. If things keep going the way they are, population control and Basic Income would work. Breaking boulders into gravel with a sledge all day to feed a family has fallen to the wayside. Maybe...

    Costco taking Visa == awesome

Would love for Visa up here to be accepted at Costco. Love my Executive Membership, really love shopping at Costco. It is very close to where I live, makes life easy. They have a gas bar at that location as well, so I don't get gouged for fuel anymore. I don't even bother looking at Gasbuddy...

Chlorinated vs Non chlorinated brake cleaner?

From what I remember Chlorinated cleans much better but may harm wheel sensors but I'm not sure anymore. Non-Chlorinated is less harmful of a substance in general, and is more compatible with sensors (wheel speed sensors for ABS operation). For cleaning out drum brakes I prefer just cutting a...

    Tire psi Q?

I am running 185/65R/15 Conti Truecontacts on my Fit and it doesn't handle well unless I fill them to 40PSI even. Not sure if it is the result of not running stock tire widths or not. It is a completely different car at a higher tire pressure, so that is where I keep it.

Lube Tech Doing Your Airbag Recall Repair?

Up in Canada I don't think you would be able to do an airbag R&R, unless you have a mechanic apprenticeship card at least. I have done a few in school when I was working towards my Diploma. I think it is unsuitable to hand this to a Lube Tech 100%. Let them master a basic oil change first as...

    Carpooling -- absurd offers

Let's look at it another way: He has to keep a seat empty for you the entire distance, or just for the last 5 mins of the drive. So I believe it is fair you pay what everyone else pays.
