    Yamaha 69J-13440-03

I have seen pictures of the -01, it was a "fleece" media filter. It looked pretty decent, maybe not worth what they were asking for it, but better than this.

    Yamaha 69J-13440-03

I have already chucked the thing in disgust. I went to a multi-line (sells Yamaha, Mercury, and Evinrude) dealer to pick this up, and the parts guy's eyes went wide when he scanned the barcode and the price came up.

    Yamaha 69J-13440-03

Nothing cross-references to the 69J-13440-03. There are crosses to the -01, which the -03 replaces though. I've always been one of those "Meh, $35 filter to protect an $18k motor, not that big of a deal." But, I'm going to be looking at other options now.

This is what $35 gets you in Canada. Yamaha 69J-13440-03. I have a few more pics if wanted. I didn't count the pleats, nor did I measure. Made by Denso. The crud on the bypass was from the bench. No end caps, not sure how I feel about that.

Canadian Federated Co-op Sonic 4 Stroke SL

Hey everyone, Thoughts on this oil? I have asked for clarification regarding the base oil, if it really is 100% PAOs. I have also asked for the HT/HS numbers. It's Page 51 and 52. Sonic Oil

It kind of looks like a dog hunched over trying to work one out... I really dislike it.

Land Rover LR3 - Fighting the urge...

When we purchased our last vehicle I looked very hard for a Land Rover. They are a heck of a lot more capable than anything from BMW, and nearly everything from MB (except the G-wagon). The reliability thing is always a toss-up. What are your other options in this price bracket? Yukon? X5? GLK...

Brand new Nissan Frontier - 1st oil change

Quote: Interesting. You must be loaded. I think you would be better of with a sled. LOL....I always thought a sled was the quickest way for someone who has money to lose it. Especially if it happens to be a 2010 skidoo 800, apparently they had problems with the primary belt alignment and you...

Brand new Nissan Frontier - 1st oil change

Hey Everyone! So, I recently purchased myself a shiny new Nissan Frontier, V6, 4x4, auto. Going to be coming up to the first oil change shortly. It sees mostly very, very, very short trips (10 - 12 blocks). Service manual (such as it is, it is a leaflet printed by the dealer) says 1st service...

    BMW LL-01

I have run both of those oils. I actually prefer the Castrol. The only problem is that the nearest store that stocks them is 100km away.

The car may be garaged at home, but at work it sits outside all day long. It doesn't take long for everything to cool off when it is below -40. I will have to look for that Esso XD-3 when it is closer to winter.

Yeah...the BMW runs all year long. Coldest temps? -50 C.

I guess the car/engine would be important right? 2006 BMW 330i, N52 engine, ~80000 miles on it. I have been using the Castrol 0w-30 (from what I understand it is the German Castrol). My local Canadian Tire used to stock it when they first opened 2 years ago, but have since stopped. I do have...

How important is this spec? What is it exactly? What is a Low-SAPS oil? I only have 2 choices for this in my area, and both are hard to come by. I can choose from Mobil1 0w-40 European, or Castrol Edge w/ Syntec 0w-30. Even those I have to buy in cases of 12 because I am the only one in town...
