Fram 3593A is a little longer, approx 0.3 inch? 9688 is 3.08 height, 3593A is 3.39 height. 9688 is listed as 9-15 psi, 3593A is listed as 12, psi so basically similar bypass pressure. Gasket dimensions are the same, as is can OD. Both M20x1.5 thread.
