I beleive I read that article at a friends house....didn't they also say the car had like 30k miles on that motor? I sure hope the bearings still had a lot of life on it after that low of miles.

I would say the Redline...and I would go over 5k miles with it. I am recently just switched from Mobil 1 to Redline, about 4k miles ago, and I can already tell a difference. The redline is definately holding up better than the Mobil 1 did, but I will be doing an oil analysis report at 6-7k miles...

Problem is that again is on a low mileage car so some of the metal contaminates could be from break in.

I have done a search on here looking for some oil analysis reports for a high mileage LS1 and haven't noticed any. All the reports I see are for LS1 powered cars with 5-15k miles or less on them. The motor is still breaking in at that point. Is there an analysis of a higher mileage vehicle...say...
