    stand-alone car cd player recommendations

I was just cleaning not too long ago and found my old discman that I finally tossed out. The drawback with it was that it would skip if you hit a few bumps. Haven't listened to a CD in years, current cars have 6 cd changer built it and I've never used them in the 6-8 years I've owned them.

    Pick-a-part sadness

A little crazy how they're stacked up like that, doesn't look too stable if someone decides to crawl underneath them to grab a part.

I found a great price for an oil change

So $20 to rotate the tires? Better to get tires at places that do free tire rotations as part of the tire services. Or get your own impact gun, very cheap these days, in the $100-$200 range.

Interesting article from CNBC on residential home prices

This is basically the difference between macro and micro. Sure you might see this on the local level or individual stories but if you look at the national numbers, the default rate on loans hasn't increased and the unemployment numbers are still low. So what you're probably seeing is things just...

My own fault for ever subscribing to SIRIUS

Oh yeah, they're kidding about being busy. I skipped the whole texting thing and talked to a real person. I don't think I was on hold for more than a couple seconds, it just basically transferred right away.

My own fault for ever subscribing to SIRIUS

They don't care about the sweet talk, they're just playing the game/following the script. I just cut to the chase, tell them I read about it online in the forums and I know they can do it so just go ahead and do it or just cancel. They just go ahead and do it.

Interesting article from CNBC on residential home prices

A couple of things go in lock step like the rising rent prices and low unemployment. Also lenders have to vet their borrowers these days. Most of the sales I've been doing lately have been to people that can easily afford it, there's not too much 3.5% down payments around here, usually at least...

My own fault for ever subscribing to SIRIUS

Did you call the number I posted? Some numbers seem to work better than others. That one I use all the time and don't have any issues. Never have an issue canceling or changing the plan. They do have a $5.99 rate for life now and also a $60 for a year plan. Their script makes you dig for it...

My own fault for ever subscribing to SIRIUS

Try this number 866-635-5027. It's the one I use all the time to cancel or renew. I did cancel one car before, went through fine. Wasn't driving it much so even $5 a month isn't worth it if you only drive it a couple times a month. Just called and had it reactivated, wasn't a big deal. They play...

Stanford Professor warns massive UFO disclosure is around the corner.

I think you may be able to apply that to classical physics but I'm not sure it really applies to quantum mechanics and they're both part of the real world. While I suppose you're trying to throw out the baby with the bath water, I don't think any of them are in disagreement with regards to the...

Stanford Professor warns massive UFO disclosure is around the corner.

Well in the quantum realm you have the uncertainty principle and things like Schrödinger's cat. What do you think the cause of zero point energy is? And then there's things like the black hole information loss paradox, nothing is ever that clear cut. And I don't deny your law of cause and...

Well I'm just taking the word of Astrophysicists, they seem to be in agreement. https://www.universetoday.com/154762/the-expanding-debris-cloud-from-the-kilonova-tells-the-story-of-what-happens-when-neutron-stars-collide/ https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-022-04750-w...

Contemplating a CPO X3 or GLC

Don't know what you mean by that. I think the GLK is now the GLC like the ML turned into the GLE. CPO was always a 1 year warranty but you could buy 2 extra years. If the original warranty is intact, you basically get 7 years unlimited miles if you buy the 2 extra years. There are vendors that...

I found a great price for an oil change

I also have an indy in the suburbs that does it for $20 when you bring the oil and filter. Rotates the tires too, used to fill up the windshield washer fluid too, but he didn't do that the last time I was there. His regular rate is 85/hour.

Stanford Professor warns massive UFO disclosure is around the corner.

I believe that one is considered multi messenger in the sense that not only was the gravitational wave detected, it was also detected by telescopes and x ray observations and they did somewhat quantify the amount of heavy metals produced by the collision through the light signatures. Probably...

Stanford Professor warns massive UFO disclosure is around the corner.

Good point. In that case, the answer should be neither. Unknown whether it's really coincidence or design. I'm more of the mind that things can happen for no particular reason than that there's a reason for it. The nature of the universe seems to be that it's random and that is backed up by...

Stanford Professor warns massive UFO disclosure is around the corner.

Have you been keeping up with LIGO? I think they still say some heavy metals can come from supernovas but neutron star collisions can also give you the rest of the heavy metals. So we're probably made from neutron star collisions and you have to pass through one to collect enough heavy metals...

Stanford Professor warns massive UFO disclosure is around the corner.

It's not at all logical to believe that there's some design. To believe it requires evidence. There's no evidence. It basically doesn't require that there be design so while it's hard to believe it's coincidence, it's very possible for it to be coincidence. It could also be design, but there's...

Stanford Professor warns massive UFO disclosure is around the corner.

It's kinda hard to adapt to a hostile environment when there's no atmosphere. The radiation from solar flares also tends to sterilize all life. That's why a blast from a supernova within 50 light lights will kill all life in it's radius. But no worries, the closest one to us is over 100 light...

Stanford Professor warns massive UFO disclosure is around the corner.

It's sounds like you've answered the question. Others have not answered the question. There's no current answer. You think that it has to be either or, but the answer is unknown. Basically saying you're wrong for believing in one or the other. It just appears to be pure coincidence, but is the...
