One oil sump holds approximately 1 1/2 qts. Compressor does not get continuous use.

I have an Eaton 3 cylinder reciprocating air compressor. I would like to know if I can use a non-detergent oil with API rating SA? All the compressor oils I have been able to identify have API rating SB. Is SA rated oil OK? Thanks
