Idle curiousoty, who make ''Motorcraft'' oil?

Nobody mentioned tropartic??? I am under the impression that is the same as mc synblend. I have been using tropartic 5w-20 for years. Sams club has cases for what works out to $2.30/qt. Orsheln farm and home has sales that bring it down to $1.99. There is an oil distributor around the corner...

CARQUEST Red and Blue filters by Champion Labs

These didn't come with packaging and i don't see affinia anywhere on the can, just a clear plastic wrap with "wix 57356:P". They do have red lettering and the R84356 label on the can, so i guess i got the cheaper version. Should i have any reservations using this filter on my wifes 2014 pilot...

CARQUEST Red and Blue filters by Champion Labs

I just picked up some supposedly private label wix filters for the honda's i have. 57356-P is on the plastic wrap, didn't come in a box. They are carquest labeled. These do not have the silicone adbv, its black so nitrile right? coil spring on dome end. They also have 6 holes instead of 8...

    Akebono Performance pads

I had some proact on a ford transit connect before i got rid of it. They seemed to work fine but got hot easily and you could smell them, especially when new. What kind of bite do the performance pads have? I like a good initial bite in my pads.

Which budget oil for my cars?

If you have a Sams Club near you, get tropartic by the case. They usually have 5w-30 and 10w-30. It works out to about $2.30/quart. And its basically the same oil as motorcraft syn blend, I use a lot of it.

    Parts Plus PH47

Didn't come in a box and nothing on the can that shows origin. They only had some plastic coving the opening.

    Parts Plus PH47

I got some Champ closeout filters from rockauto. When they came in, they were parts plus. After mentioning the champ filter on another thread, I was worried that i might have accidentally ordered e core filters. But these have the spiral metal core, not the e core, which i think is a good thing...

2014 Honda Pilot, no denso filter

Im pretty sure the 2011 has the same size engine as the 2014. Ive heard that there were some small changes but i didn't think anything that would change the filter requirements. The denso and bosch look to be identical in size. so capacity should be the same i think. I guess the bypass could...

2014 Honda Pilot, no denso filter

Could anyone guess why the 150-1009 filter would not be listed for a 2014 Pilot? This is the standard filter for most hondas. Cross referencing, most other manufacturers use the same part for most hondas including this Pilot. Bosch has a 3323 listed. Its the same filter for my old civic, my 2007...
