I was OCD about lubing cars properly when in the biz. I recall some of the older Yotas having 3 fittings in the propeller shaft. 10 total. The front shaft fitting closest to the transfer case on my Tundra is very hard to get.

11 Tundra. Crew Max Ltd. 5.7 4wd. 156k. Castrol, Mobil 1, Pennzoil full synthetic. 6-7.5 k oci's.

My experience is that synthetics, when drained, can have a reddish color. I've noticed it on many occasions at my center. Golden color as new, then red, brown and then black. Mobil 1 seemed to have this trait most often. I'd bet a UOA would show a lot of life left in that oil.

Check engine oil for contamination. Most likely the pump oil and water mix is what you see.
