    painting my truck

Is this thread a joke? You are going to paint a 01 model F-150 yourself? Do you have a down draft booth in your garage? Most paint jobs under 4K done by "pros" look like crap. I can only imagine how bad the paint would look if the car was painted by someone without the equipment and...

    Ford sealed tranny questions

This is odd. It seems I have found a topic that no one on BITOG cares about.

And with the screech of a tire, I'm screwed. [any traffic attorneys here?]

So the lawyer pays the fine and insurance if a deal is not made and found guilty? Be easy on the lawyerisims. Don't call people out as "not offering to pay your fines" and such unless you practice the same concepts. As for my conviction rate it can not be proven online and niether can yours...

why all the concern about firearms lubes?

Just wondering because I have been around weapons all my life and have been lucky enough to get some professional training along the way thanks to a previous govt. job (non-military) that allowed me to fire thousands and thousands of rounds through handguns, shotguns, SMG, and carbine. Along the...

This will drive you maintenance guys nuts

Going from flying jets to driving a Camry sure must be a kick in the balls. I would have opted for something a tad sportier to lessen the shock. [ July 31, 2004, 01:52 AM: Message edited by: AUG ]

    Ford sealed tranny questions

I have a 2002 Ford Explorer V8 with the 5r55w transmission. Well, thanks to the never ending wonderfull ideas of our friends at fomoco in Detroit my vehicle has the "sealed for life" transmission. Has anyone done a T-tech service to this vehicle? How about just a common pan drop fluid change...

    My auto RX results

Hey Gary I didn't even notice the spelling. I used the quotes to "describe" type of sludge. I thought I spelled it wrong anyway. Just wanted to tell you I didn't even see the spelling and wouldn't know if it was right or wrong anyway. Cold day in heII I call someone out on spelling. Matter of...

    My auto RX results

Frank- email sent and thank you for the offer. Nice to see someone back up thier product. Gary- you are right it is "putty" knife sludge. I think the slow treatment is preferred as well.

And with the screech of a tire, I'm screwed. [any traffic attorneys here?]

Why was the cop a ****? Because he caught a 18 year old showing his butt? I think the cop was doing his job. Cops look for people doing stupid things and charge them accordingly. Looks to me like this cop did his job quite well. I would say in a area where a 18 year old kid drives a 2001...

    My auto RX results

I'm not all that worried about varnish. The sludge I see through the oil fill tube is on the top of the cylinder head between the valve springs. I don't see how this area would come clean either with the splash type lubrication but I wish I could get it clean.

    My auto RX results

I did the high mileage treatment on a Ford modular 4.6 v8 with 250,000 miles. The auto rx worked well at some things and not well at others. I could see deposit/sludge build up through the oil fill tube before this started and after the two complete cycles I can't notice any difference in this...

    alldata DIY

Has anyone subscribed to this service? From what I can gather you get access to all the factory service manuals, recalls, TSB's and so on. I have a car where my only option is a FSM because no chiltons, haynes, or helm exist for the car. Is alldata DIY any good?
