    Got down to nearly zero here in memphis last week. A record ! My '09 Malibu with 2.5 L engine fired right up with Quaker State 5w30 dino in the crankcase. Used remote start so was nice and toasty when my wife climbed in to go to work.

    The add pacs for SL, SM, SN are all very robust. Interchangeable if using the proper viscosity going back to the early 2000's.

    I also have a 2006 Buick, but I have the Northstar v8. GM also says to use a 0w30 for extreme cold temps. Pick your brand. Top CHoice? Full syn 0w30.

    Switch to a "Any make any model" green like Super Tech if you are committed to dumping the Dexcool. It will work just fine for you.
