Does it have an air bag?

I like the V6 in my Gen 6 Camry a lot, so much so that I'd not put a mystery filter on it for any reason. FIlters are cheap, engines are expensive.

Synthetic prices are so good these days it's hard to justify NOT using it, especially in climate extreme areas.

You need a submersible pump which pushes the water out of the well, not relying on vacuum to "pull" it out.

Most coolant overflow tanks - at least Toyotas, have a return line to the cooling system. Whatever is added to the overflow ends up mixing in the cooling system pretty quickly if you go through a few engine on off cycles.

Automotive gas is much cleaner than the pre-FI days, even the FAA thinks so. (It's approved for use in small aircraft) One of my Gen 4 Toyotas has gone close to 400K with the under hood filter from the factory. The later injection systems with no return line run much less fuel through the filter.
