    Saab 9-7x Aero Flickering Lighting

I have a stock 2009 9-7x Aero. Other than cosmetics, it is more or less a Trailblazers SS. Very recently noticed that the dash lighting is flickering/strobing ever so slightly, but enough to draw your attention at night. Also noticed the dome light will do the same. Headlights slightly as well...

    1999 Silverado starting issue

1999 Silverado (newer style). Has worked fine barring a intermittent short in the steering column easily remedied by adjusting the wheel slightly. Went to start truck after work and wont start. Dash lights functioning properly Voltage around the 12 mark. No response from the starter, no solenoid...

Saab 9-7x - anyone use a larger tire on stock rims

Have a 2006 Saab 9-7x that has 18" rims w/ 255/55/18 tires. Overall calculated height at around 29". I hate the options in this size as there are few and I've tried most of them, aka the softer compound tires wear quickly. They are the same platform as Chevy Trailblazers, Envoys, etc but...

Shell Formula & PYB 10w-40 SM vs SN

With all the emphasis for resource conserving (understood that 10w-40 is not exactly resource conserving), why would SOPUS 10w-40 class oils get thicker when transition from SM to SN? Was SM perhaps too light w/ observable consequences being reported? Were the SL oils as light as SM, but with...

    Dynamic / Kinematic relationship

disclaimer -- not an oil genius Speaking strictly within the confines of viscosity (not addpacks, oil life, etc), for example, G-Oil 5w-30 has the following characteristics: -HTHS = 3.2-3.5 (probably closer to 3.2 but thicker than most 5w-30s at operating temp regardless of actual value)...

    NextGen Premium Blue

http://valvoline.com/products/commercial-industrial-products/oem-endorsed-products/130 http://valvoline.com/pdf/nextgen_premium_blue.pdf I hadn't noticed this before. I suppose we should expect the addpack and performance should be along the lines of blue bottled Premium Blue. I haven't seen...

Bio Based G Oil 5w-30 -- HTHS is 3.2 cP

Asked and answered: "Our HTHS viscosity on our G-OIL Bio-Based Full Synthetic 5w-30 per ASTM D4683 testing is 3.2 cP." Thought some here may find this helpful. Contradictory to other reports of 3.5 cP.
