    Tacoma questions?

I bought a new 2018 Base 4WD SR last summer. 8k on the clock now and flawless. Don't plan on towing anything much with the 2.7, which I bought. I mostly haul air. I'm 6'2" and the cab is really hard to enter and exit. Try entry/exit at the dealership before you buy. I traded entry/exit...

    The "zero posters"

I miss reading the postings of #12 mechtech2. Hasn't posted in over 3 years. Boraticus is another of my favorites. Small engine expert. Occasionally posts, no where near the frequency of years past. Joe

    2004 LeSabre broken speedometer

When you replace the cluster, the housing itself just plugs into a male/female type connector. You should hear/feel it snap into place.

    2004 LeSabre broken speedometer

I've done a few. Not too hard to remove. Google "2004 Buick Lesabre instrument cluster removal". A few hidden screws and some trim that just snaps out/in. Once you get it out, if your good at de-soldering and re-soldering, you can buy GM stepper motors on Ebay cheap, around six bucks. Mark...

How many of you have replaced you Intake Gasket

Did three GM V6's in the last year. 2 of the 3.4 liter, and one 3.8. First one was on a Chevy Venture minivan. Access was difficult. Other two were on midsize cars, much easier. Not too difficult for a DIYer with a little experience. Used FelPro Permadry on all of them. Hopefully will outlast...

    Yet ANOTHER, irresponsible pet owner!

I delivered mail as a summer substitute. Post Office furnishes pepper spray. I had a few dogs charge me and get a face full. They learn quick not to charge again. http://www.amazon.com/Halt-Dog-Repellent-1-5-oz/dp/B000E4Q7BS If the dog owners happened to be near, they'd go ballistic after...

    scan tool recommendations?

Thanks for all the above advice. Leaning toward the Innova. AE with the enhanced packages would fit my needs, can't justify the price. Most of the work I do is on friends/family vehicles, so my labor is donated. Hard to recoup my scanner costs when my revenue is zero. Will be keeping an eye on...

thx for the reply saw; I emailed Innova about software updates and they never responded. Have you ever tried to update? Scanner gets good reviews on Amazon. Just wonder about customer support. If they can't bother to answer a few questions from a potential buyer, sorta leaves me wondering....
