Running a two stroke at 60:1 or 70:1

Same here, and you don’t stink as bad afterwards. 10yrs at 100:1 and equipment is still going strong. Was at my parents and helped out with the yard. He uses Red Armor and dang I smelled like that the rest of the day.

    2012 Explorer Limited 3.5 V6, Schaeffer 9000,6.4k OCI

Yea, I wish the water pump was a different setup. If so, this would be an all around greet engine. I keep an eye on the coolant especially since it’s 11 yrs old. Also, i stay in top of the coolant changes with only Motorcraft coolant. Will that make a difference changing it often, who know but...

    2012 Explorer Limited 3.5 V6, Schaeffer 9000,6.4k OCI

Recent sample from my 2012 Explorer. Vehicle had 85000 not 35000 as stated in sample. Vehicle sees about 70/30 hwy/city. I’ve used the Schaeffer 9000 for the last 3 OCIs, prior to that it was a mixture of M1, Magnatec, and QSUD before I bought it. I’ve been using the Motorcraft oil filter and...

    1993 Fleetwood Trans Shift issue

I purchased an AC Delco Accumulator and replaced the whole thing. On the old one there was only one spring inside and the it was cracked off at the bottom. You could hear it inside when you shook the accumulator. Unfortunately I purchased the Corvette Servo. The one I took out wasn’t the...

    1993 Fleetwood Trans Shift issue

My 93 Fleetwood hangs in first till about 19mph then shifts somewhat harsh. If you are accelerating and slightly lift off the gas around 15 mph it will smoothly shift. I’ve replaced the ac***ulator which had a broken spring, servo, TPS , and IAC. It’s gotten better but still there. The other...

2005 Mustang 4.0 Under Valve Cover

Drivers side VC gasket was leading and drilling right on the exhaust and made for a smelly ride. So today I pulled the VC and replaced the gasket. Where it was leaking the gasket was extremely brittle. Wasn't a bad job, about 1.5 hours all said and done. As far as cleanliness the engine was...
