    Filter Warranty...

lubeowner, What is your opinion on using oversized filters for an application? Are there advantages/disadvantages? If there are indeed advantages, what would the Napa oversized filter cross be for a Motorcraft 820S (bypass pressure etc.)?

Clickers, Frams, and E-cores, oh my (pics)

filtersales - Thats your 'blown engine warranty' claim you've been referring to in the other thread (now locked)? I'll bet he got his money back for the filter only, not engine damage... lubeowner still has integrity. [ May 12, 2005, 08:09 AM: Message edited by: rugerman1 ]

E-core (so much for all the testing)

Wait a minute... does that mean that champion filters do fail? This is progress. Post the link of the persons post who got a new engine from the filter company. I wonder how one proves engine damage from a failed filter to collect on that warranty... BTW, when someone is pointing out spelling...

E-core (so much for all the testing)

Filter companies rebuild engines? Never happenes, another weasle sales pitch. So you use wallyworld Frams then, right? Citeing rare case exceptions are you? Here people go much longer than OCI recommendations without reported filter problems. Why do some OEM recommend filter changes every...

E-core (so much for all the testing)

Unless you see a pattern of failures of the same make car, crash in the same way. It didn't take that many Pintos burning in the early 70's to figure out that the gas tank design was the problem, not the driver or the guy who filled the tank. In this scenario, lubeowner is the tow truck driver...

E-core (so much for all the testing)

Yep... a sales weasle. I guess that jaw dropping presentation at Ford resulted in them having Purolator make motorcraft filters instead of champion. You have a salesmans knowledge about filters, but can't hold a candle to a shop owner that deals with a pretty high number of filters daily. Thats...

E-core (so much for all the testing)

AND You yourself purposely gave that impression. If it came down to a choice of going to a filterguys shop or a lubeowners shop, it would be lubeowners every time. Step off filterguy, you aren't qualified to challenge lubeowner. Quit your posing. Another case of a little knowledge being...

    Dog Owner Questions

Get a good audio recording of the yappers many camcorders have recording ability with decent audio, then set up an amp and loudspeaker pointed at their house. Playback at an apropriate time (midnight is fine) it doesn't have to be very loud as the yappers will hear themselves and go nuts yapping...

    fallout remover?

[whoops, looks like the boat owner posted this info just before me] The active ingrediant in the product AR suggested is oxalic acid. You can get this locally by getting Bon Ami Powder (not Bon Ami Cleanser), or as a stand alone product at a marine supply store for cleaning teak. Another source...

Learn To Say NO to Marriage

As said before, that is the on Albuquerque DA's decision to prosecute (or not) the false 911 call. Duluth has nothing to charge her with. She took off and didn't tell anyone, not a crime. The news media wastes all this time in depth reporting (again) of a missing well off white woman. During...

    Cat Owner Question

Well, its all a psychological game. Put signs up on your property line stating any animal on your property enters at its own risk. Also put on the sign that some days there might be small containers of toxic residue on the property. Have small clear plastic cups with mountain dew visible in...

    Cat Owner Question

If a cat gets 'lost' they just get another one and let the cat do the same stuff ie: use your yard as a catbox. When croaks in front of them, they suspect someone poisoned it and will then get it that they had better keep the cat's business in their yard or indoors. That is the only kick in the...

    Cat Owner Question

But trapping and releasing in the wild is ok... hmmm or How about, get some good cat hunting dogs that will rip it apart, that seems to be less cruel for you. In California, the Coyotes take care of roaming cats if you live in the hills, even in Hollywood. Allowing the animal to crap and...

Like I posted on another thread... Bowls of ethylene glycol-based antifreeze as a refresher for the tresspassers. I read that just a quarter of a teaspoon of antifreeze kills a cat.
