2018 Civic Si, 38573 on car, 3039 on Super Tech 5W-30

Most of the time I run stock boost levels. The +9 is tied with Sport mode and even then I generally don't push it, particularly in the summer. I think most of the excess fuel dilution this run was due to all the short trips :|

2018 Civic SI, 18,285 Total, 11,635 RL MTL

Car shifts perfectly fine. The older Honda MTF had a similar viscosity to the Redline MTL so there really isn't that much of a difference. The Redline is a 75W80.

I figure the filter is catching the Silicon... now the Boron drop, that is surprising

No musical oils. Last two changes have been Redline 5W-30. The silicon has actually gone down with regards to the baseline (see BL line)

Note: FP Plus at usual dose. Note: BL is the virgin sample of the oil. Note: It's hard to compare some of these samples due to the change in driving due to my work situation the past couple of months. The sample prior to this was on extremely short trips during the summer. Sample 1 was with...

    Redline 5W-30 VOA

I am fairly certain I could run just about anything (reasonable) in the engine and it would last until the end of the factory warranty.

Honda "Recommends" an 0W-20. That's a lot different, legally, than "Requires"

I'm running this in really hot weather at the moment. I actually don't have any worries about it. With it being a manual I usually keep the revs above 2k at least with little load. I haven't noticed any type of detonation either while driving or reviewing the onboard logs, either under light...

I just called. The lab thought it was a little unusual as well and re-ran the test and got the same results.

I've used this oil in 3 different cars and put over 100k on each without a problem... of course, none of those cars burned oil either

I live really, really close to work and most of my errands are close by. This may be somewhat offset by how hot its been this summer and a few longer trips so the UOA will be interesting...
