    3.1 Modem Reliability

Update: Arris SB8200 has been rock steady so far, no excessive heat or glitches. I do notice better (quicker)...

Hoping for good results - Restore Engine Restorer and Lubricant

I've used it in the past for oil-burning clunkers. It cut the consumption and kept me going when nothing else worked.

    3.1 Modem Reliability

The App was from Arris. It was a QR code scanned by my phone.

    3.1 Modem Reliability

The Arris SB8200 came the very next day. The "App" they provide was totally useless; it wouldn't even work for my model. The setup took a bit longer than expected with the ISP (30 minutes +/-), but eventually hooked up. The positive difference was immediate. The built-in Pluto TV app (LG...

    3.1 Modem Reliability

They DO NOT have a recommended list, as I have mentioned above in a previous post.

    3.1 Modem Reliability

I ordered the SB8200, which is the first one I researched. It seems hit-or-miss, as it runs very hot, but I'll give it a shot. Thank you and all who responded. Fingers crossed...

    3.1 Modem Reliability

Recently bumped from 300 to 600 for free. Aside from simply wanting to upgrade the old 3.0 is limited @ 300-400. I'm an old fart, not a gamer, but I want all I can get from the upgrade and to future-proof a bit.

    3.1 Modem Reliability

The 2500 looks fabulous, but is beyond my price range. Thank you, though.

    3.1 Modem Reliability

    Thanks, but that's a combo. I have a top-shelf router.

    3.1 Modem Reliability

I've looked into that brand, but they had as many complaints as the Arris.

    3.1 Modem Reliability

The question is reliability, not who the provider is, as it's irrelevant.

    3.1 Modem Reliability

It's a small provider called VYVE, not that it should matter. They serve Oklahoma and northern Texas, especially rural areas. They're pretty much the only choice where I live. I KNOW I want 3.1, which is why I'm asking the question!

    3.1 Modem Reliability

No, but I have cleared those I have considered with them.

    3.1 Modem Reliability

Researching 3.1 Modems ($200 max) leads me to MANY complaints of Arris products overheating, dropping signal, and other malfunctions. Customer service is questionable as well. Can anyone suggest a brand they own and use that has proven reliable? I've had Motorola, then Arris, for longer than I...

    High mileage CRV or Rav4

2012 Rav4 I think was subject to the oil ring recall. Could be an oil burner - but otherwise likely reliable as well...

Comparing Pri-G, to stabil, and keeping gas tanks free of rust as well.

My friend has an off-grid ranch sustained by generators and a water well. He buys gas for the generators, adding Pri-G before filling several 50-gallon drums. Some of the fuel can sit for up to a year. He has yet to have a single running or starting problem with the fuel. He's never mentioned...

Trying to get good wash and wax products for daughter and son-in-law

But they don't have a lot of practice or interest maintaining the exterior of their vehicles. There's the key... no matter what you give them with good intentions, they don't care. Been there, done that.
