Looks like you've done your homework, so go with your plan of attack. If it counts for anything, I've used Mag 1 oils quite extensively with excellent results. Running their conventional oil in my fleet vehicles and their differential oils in a company truck. No complaints from me.

What oil pressure does the owners/shop manual say it's supposed to read at any given temperature? What viscosity oil are you running? Per your description and lack of some initial information, I'd say things seem "normal."
