2021 Ford Ranger 2.3l Ecoboost Amsoil Sig Series 5w30 part 2

This is my second oil change. Sig Series with a Wix XP filter. In my last post I was concered about the potassium and the possibility of it using coolant. This sample shows it has dropped. I completely missed the part of the analysis where it shows zero coolant and water.. I guess I got myself...

2021 Ford Ranger 2.3l ecoboost Amsoil Sig Series 5w30 9900miles

I'm coming up for an oil change here soon and plan on sending a sample off. I have oil left from the last oil change, same oil as this test, should I get it retested? It's in a container that's been in my garage if that matters.

I don't seem to be losing coolant. How big of a leak would it have to be at 22ppm?

So from a few articles I've read it says Potassium would come from a coolant leak....thats interesting. I'll have to take a look at that. That's a bit worrying. The truck has been parked all day. The coolant level is right at the minimum level. I'll have to keep an eye on my coolant.

Woops... Sorry.. Didnt even notice it. I just read the top sheet. Then screen shot both pages and posted it... My mistake. OK.. Ill look into that. I have always used amsoil oil and filters. Thing is I have a good bit of oil stocked up and don't need to make a big order just yet . If I order...

2021 Ford Ranger 2.3l ecoboost Amsoil Sig Series 5w30 9900miles

I changed out the factory fill at around 6k with Sig Series 5w30 and a Wix XP filter. This is my first ever oil analysis and was hoping for some insight from you all. According to the lab that did the test tbn is listed as "base number". I asked them about fuel dilution and the response was "if...

    What's your DIY disaster?

Did a cam swap on my 94 Firehawk. Somehow after a week of driving the spider that holds the lifters down popped up. We might have bent it but idk how we could have missed that. Tear it all down and the lifter is mushroomed and won't come up. Only will go down. If we take the cam out it'll drop...

And that is why I'm changing my tune a bit. I was a bit shocked and freaked out when I first seen it. I probably shouldn't have made this post. Only the rockers and head are varnished. All moving parts are nice and shiney. Since the valve adjustment it is running better then new. Reminds of...

2006 honda civics had an issue that was called "weeping block". Coolant would seep out the block due to a bad casting. Honda replaced it under warranty. According to the dealer they replaced it with a new long block. Our 1st engine would avg 29mpg in city. This one would get 26. Hwy was 38 vs...

Yes exactly. They don't tend to look like this. So it was a complete surprise to me. The car itself has 170k on it. The engine was replaced at 65k. So the pcv could have 105k or 170k. Idk if they replace all that when doing an engine swap. So some of this could be my fault? Maybe...

Right.. I get it. It's why I posted the pic. Though it just my head that's varnished. None of the moving parts are.

Right.. I should have said that. I was just so concentrated on the rockers. The surrounding edges wiped right up after spraying parts cleaner.
