You really should not need to warm it for more than a minute imo. We are talking about California which I am guessing does not hit below 0F.

I do 10k OCI with dino on my Accord.

I really can not see any reason to not follow the OLM / manufacturer OCI recommendation, with whatever oil is spec. Do whatever makes you feel best but running PYB 5-6k miles should not create a sludge problem.
