    Electric grid upgrade issues.

I'm not using it out of principal and the fact that it absolutely sucks. They fell back on AI and functionality went completely down the drain. AI broke FSD. I tried. I can't support this crap. It'll be our downfall. $200k worth of cars? What do you think my lifestyle is? Bold of you to...

    Electric grid upgrade issues.

You don't seem like the type to lay down and just take it. You disappoint me.

    Electric grid upgrade issues.

They sure got you. I can't say anything else nice enough to not get in trouble here.

    Electric grid upgrade issues.

So you've lost your mind then? Everyone is using AI for memes. The country literally dies if my job goes away. The store shelves would be empty in a week. AI isn't moving freight and stocking shelves. I make well into the 6 figures and data centers are going to kill my cost of living. Wild.

    Electric grid upgrade issues.

I really don't like this data center junk. It's a huge problem where I live. It's a town of only 16k people. They're building 3 here because our power is cheap. It won't be cheap anymore after they are all in operation. Charging an EV is a drop in the bucket for usage compared to data...

Chevy and Cadillac essentially have no new EVs planned

Yep. It weighs less and takes up less space. I'm not capable of hauling as much air though unfortunately. 😂

    EVs on Long Road Trips

That price is nuts. Even Superchargers here are less than that.

Chevy and Cadillac essentially have no new EVs planned

Some buy trucks to do truck things. Most buy them to look cool or they'd all have full beds and be towing trailers. Even then as expensive as they've gotten and the cost of fuel as I mentioned, it may start affecting what people buy.

Chevy and Cadillac essentially have no new EVs planned

With these gas prices common sense will eventually catch up. I've never understood the large vehicle trend. Seems like such a waste of space and energy to try and look cool. Then again I love small, simple performance cars.

Mach-E front motor dead at 33.5K

I ran into this problem with a Lincoln LS. The part being unavailable anywhere mechanically totaled it. I traded it and someone got the used part and did the work themselves which was going to be $2500 in labor for a part that has a high failure rate. I still see it drive around town...

10,000 electric vehicles tested for battery degradation

This tells me all EVs are performing spectacularly well. That and as we all know Teslas are still the most efficient.

Latest Tesla OTA update is amazing...

I'm looking forward to trying it. My FSD AP4 computer just completely bricked and I've lost all FSD and Summon features. Traffic Aware Cruise Control still works though. The computer gets replaced in two weeks under warranty.

    EVs on Long Road Trips

I'm sure that it is if your power is expensive. I just don't want to deal with one. It would break even with our current diesel prices and electric prices at about 160mpg. Not a single diesel gets that.

    EVs on Long Road Trips

You sure like some complicated stuff. Battery, diesel, and DEF I would assume. Pass.

    2026 Tesla Model 3P

The fit and finish issues Tesla is known for is either a thing of the past or I've gotten really lucky three times. I love these cars. Honestly the speedometer thing felt weird at first, but it just seems normal to me now. Instead of looking down it's just beside my normal field of view. If...

    Hummer Global Debut

It's a tank. I think it looks great, but I'd never own one due to it's weight. Both of my Y's combined weigh less than it and they're both AWD models. I think it would end up in my storage room under my garage after it collapsed the supports if I parked it in there.

EV batteries are defying expectations after hundreds of thousands of miles

I think that's the case for most modern EVs, but if it did only last 10 years that's not very good lifespan for a modern car.

EV batteries are defying expectations after hundreds of thousands of miles

As an interesting detail, my 2024 Model Y Performance with 25k miles on is rated to 279 miles. On current efficiency numbers it says I'd hit 309 miles. I expected at least a small drop.

    Tesla Full Self Driving (FSD)

That's precisely why as long as the person behind the wheel isn't an idiot and takes over when necessary it's a non issue. Unfortunately that's not everyone and in the case of Waymo, there is no driver in the car to take over and that's only done remotely. There are definitely things that are...

The new Bolt in the wild...

I definitely didn't buy the Y for the looks. I would with the new Y Performance though. I still like my previous body style Y Performance look, it did grow on me eventually. If I didn't need the extra space I would buy the Model 3. I do think it is the better looking version and I do think...
