2016 Fusion EcoBoost 2.0 150,000kms Valvoline advanced 5w30 Motorcraft fl910s 10,000km oci's so what 6000 miles? Ran out of my fl400s stash, but ordered more on rock auto 👍 Running the Valvoline lately as it's been cheaper then Castrol Edge here which is what it always got for the last 5 or 6...

Well picked some up and changed it last week with a Motorcraft filter. Ready for another 6k 👍

I plan on it, just never really seen it discussed much here. Been running Castrol basically since 30k miles. Almost 100k miles now

What's everyone think on the Valvoline advanced 5w30? Haven't run Valvoline in awhile but it's cheaper to run now then my usual Castrol Edge. Like 7 bucks cheaper a jug on sale at Walmart compared to Castrol so was wondering what's the word on it. I take it that it's good being a modern synthetic.

I like PF, for like tools, screws, duct tape etc... But for oils and that stuff, NFW lol I'm sticking to what I learn here.

Rotors faces still rust no matter the rotors... Braking takes it off in no time on just about any rotor. It's inside the vanes and the hub that stays on good. The rotors on lots of GM's still groove really bad, they need to be turned or replaced often here. Those rotors you have listed are also...

Yeah, the rotors that come OEM on the equinox/terrain, junk. They don't last, we need to replace them for grooving really bad, and causing bad pulsations. I do work as a tech at a GM dealer, we see it all the time. I run element 3s on all my cars, 3 years later still looking good in northern Canada

Very very very common on the rears of the Terrain/Equinox... Rotors don't last and get grooved bad really quick... The fronts do to but not as bad... The OEM brakes are IMO junk

Working at a GM dealer, nothing special about the GM rotors... I run element3 pads and rotors on all my personal stuff and will continue... Great brakes for a good price

Did the rear end the other day, got and 600 ml out and filled it back up... Oil wasn't that bad coming out, not much on the magnet so I guess it's wearing really well!

Thanks guys... I've drained the PTU multiple times and filled with redline 75w140. I've never done the rear though, I'll prob go with synthetic too for that one as well and prob be good for many miles to come.

I know the PTU takes 75w140 and rear takes 80w90... Just wondering if anyone has anything they recommend for oils. Should I switch to a synthetic 75w90 for the rear or stick with a 80w90 conventional?

He had a video I believe of him actually using 5w30

He ran it with a k&n filter for the whole OCI which is why the silicon is probably high...
