Nope, was never low. Would always make noise even after an oil change at which point it would be full again.- David_P

2003 Nissan Altima 3.5 Valve Noise at Startup
Hey all, registered just to say "thanks" for the great advice found on this board. I have a 2003 Altima SE (VQ35DE) and around 80k it started started making a rather loud "diesel" chatter when cold. 100k miles right now, and I've been using Mobil 1 5w30 since the car was new.
