    Honda VCM Disabling Questions

Confirmed: The S-VCM doesn’t work on my 2022 MDX type s. Not sure if all the j series DOHC engines will react the same or not

    Honda VCM Disabling Questions

I got the app installed and the obd2 dongle today. I can’t find the PID for cylinder count. Is this something special?

    Honda VCM Disabling Questions

So, funny you mention this. I have a 2022 MDX type S with the J30AC. 3.0 turbo charged. It has VCM and I installed S-VCM on my MDX over the winter time and I swear that it doesn’t work. I should say that the S-VCM works as intended, lowering the coolant temp to 165 degrees, but I swear the...

'19 Tacoma Cold Air Intake - Exciting

And this is why I don’t come here very often any more. If any one does anything that’s not oem or downsizing wheels and tires your all over them like stink on ****. If people want to modify their car or truck with an air filter, exhaust and some aftermarket wheels then so be it. It’s not hurting...

    Oil changes for warranty

You have completely missed the point of this. Nothing to do with saving money. HPL is quite a bit more pricey than picking oil out of the clearance isle. If you have any real input on the best way to keep warranty intact and do diy oil changes then I’d love it hear it.

    Oil changes for warranty

I’d think that would be more proof than a store receipt. I could buy oil and filter and never change my oil vs a time stamped picture of my license plate and used oil.

    Oil changes for warranty

I forgot to mention that I do have 4 gallons of HPL and I would like to use HPL being that this engine is turbocharged and direct injected. Also, I don’t mind bringing it in for certain services just because

    Oil changes for warranty

I purchased a 2022 CPO Acura MDX Type S back in July and a CPO car comes with a 100,000 mile power train warranty. I asked service about doing my own oil changes and how that would effect warranty in case I ever need to use it. They simply said that as long as I have documentation of it being...

    Honda 3.5L owners heads up

It’s a bad batch of engines. The weight of the oil doesn’t make a difference in this situation

Volvo dealer used abrasive wheel to clean engine sump

Sounds like the fiasco I had at Acura. They made it right in the end but it took a lot of fighting.

Airbags failed to deploy! How common?

That is completely wrong. Side bags deployed all the time in a side impact.

    Truck update

I hustle. All the other slugs in the shop that truck would have been on the rack for 2 weeks. Or crying that their back hurts.

    Truck update

Just have it moved to a closer shop that will total it out. The other game they play is write a cheap estimate knowing there is more damage so the insurance approves the job. Then, fix the truck and send the insurance a bill for the rest of the stuff they missed up front. By then it’s beyond a...

    Truck update

I work in a body shop as a tech and I feel like that estimate on your truck is way to low. For example I just did a frame swap on a 2022 Ram 1500 and the only body damage was a front bumper. The final bill on that job was $20,000. How can you tell me that your 3/4 ton pick up that needs a frame...
