    2.7 Ecoboost

I'm running Magnetec 5w30 in my 2018 2.3 eco. I would like the warm and fuzzies of a thicker oil but am waiting for api sp oils in a 0w40 for lspi and timing issues. Wish castrol made a 10w40 Magentec her win the states. No uoa but at 5-6k the oil comes out water thin and may have the...

Frustrated! trans well maintained, still grenaded

I know gm factory remanufactured 4l80e's run about $4k. Installed with 3/36 warranty. Not much of a warranty if dealer doesn't install it. The 4l80e would have my vote for one of the best tranny's ever made.

Higher viscosity = higher operating temps?

IMO I doubt seriously if an end user would be able to discern the the difference. Just to many variables. Now in controlled lab setting it would be possible measure the slight variation in temps.

A friend has had a commercial shop open for 10+ years with same Sch40 pvc lines the whole time without issue. Still not sure if I would use them.

    Should I service a '97 4l60E at 167k? Leave alone?

Previoosly being servicedf this is probably the reason why the tranny is still running well. I have always used Maxlife in my vehicles and it's done very well. I did use Castrol transmax synthetic for drain and fill at 4k miles on my new Explorer to start getting that garbage already turning...

Recommended Oil For 2019 Mazda CX-5 2.5L Turbo

Castrol Magnetec is what I opted for in my new Eco boost Explorer. Or any SN+ rated oil will be fine. Just make sure it's the "updated" SN+ and not just SN. SN+ being formulated to help protect the newer DI turbos better.

    19 Tacoma 2.7 M1 0w40 10k oci

I think you have a winner with the 0w-40! I would continue to use it. You have evidence to back up its performance.

    ATF for BW35 Transmission

Amazing how far engines have come. I have an engine(2.3) in my explorer only a little bigger and it has 4times the power. Sounds like a cool project!

Just finished 2nd apllocation after a long road trip on new silver Explorer. I have several really good base coats down figured I would try the spray as u dry method and was unimpressed with those results. I highly recomend it so far using the "base coat method" But time will tell. I...
