    VMP, VST, RUP, RSS, and SSL look to be excellent oils depending on one's needs. Whether or not they are worth the cost is another matter.

    It does, but it has low HTHS and an ILSAC additive package which is fine but you can get higher HTHS and Euro additive package in other oils they sell which many here favor.

    I mean, it's not in spec but I would probably run Ravenol VMP or SSL in this if I owned it if you insist on Ravenol. M1 ESP 0W-30 if not.

    They have a ton of good oils but this one is not one I would ever purchase simply because they have much better Euro oils that cost the same amount.

    I’d probably switch to C30 or C40 although given your extreme winter climate maybe the average C30 is better for the top end on those incredibly cold starts. Amsoil is probably a good choice or any other with high PAO and good CCS/MRV. TBH we haven’t seen many instances where an oil can...

    How to identify a Continental brand serpentine belt?

    Conti belts are high quality. I pulled the serpentine belt off my 2006 Z4M with 94k miles and it looked great still after 19 years.

    One thing to consider is that it’s a Z4M so it’s a fair weather car and probably has been stored for long periods since it’s a 2006 MY car and has 94k miles. Bad gas could be a possibility.

    1.29% for Castrol Edge 10W-60 according to 2021 PDS. I don't run Edge, I run the BMW TPT 10W-60 which should be around 1% but most of these engines have run the Castrol for the bulk of their lives.

    I'm not sure if it's coolant. I don't think I'm losing any, plus S54 almost never leaks coolant into the cylinders being closed deck with wide spacing to the coolant openings, and I see this on all 6. Also, my last UOA showed no signs of coolant.

    This is from a BMW S54 engine with 94k miles. I just bought it 3k miles ago. The engine looks reasonably clean under the valve cover so I think it's had regular oil changes. Not sure what's going on here though. Any thoughts?

    I would use one of the ESP 0W-40 if available: Supercar, X3, or X4. However, all of the oils you mentioned will work.

    I'm not recommending it, since it's overkill, but it's not too thick.
