    I don't think SKF will be any more likely to survive this. They just are not designed for the side load of a press. Easier to change now than when its back together and fails 10k later, it happened to me, with either timkin or skf, i don't remember which.

    When pressing the hub in, you must support the inner bearing sleeve, not the outer. I did this once with a saturn, it was bad in 10k miles.

    I can't say i've used a torque wrench on strut bolts. Usually a breaker bar to get it good,n,tight.
