Do we have UOAs for M1 Supercar 0w40 in heavy track use?

I wouldn't mind it, but 300V has been great stuff and I don't mind using it again.

Do we have UOAs for M1 Supercar 0w40 in heavy track use?

Thanks, this is what I was seeing anecdotally. The Porsche C40 GT variant is interesting too, but the prices are approaching 300V. o_O

Do we have UOAs for M1 Supercar 0w40 in heavy track use?

My dedicated track car 2017 Corvette Grand Sport has been drinking Motul 300V 0w40 or 10w40 for several years now. The 0w40 showed good UOA results as did the 10w40, though the 10w40 actually had slightly elevated aluminum for 2 consecutive OCIs. That has me thinking that I'll probably move back...

When is the next DT/DTD rebate period?

Thanks! My first Porsche and very happy with it. Easy to see why they command the price premium. Impressive driving experience for 4900 pounds!

When is the next DT/DTD rebate period?

Recently bought a Cayenne GTS and absolutely loathe the Pirellis that came on it. I've got my eye on the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV but don't see any active mail-in rebates which are typically $60-100. What time of year does Michelin typically have these? Or Discount Tire? The current DT $60/80...

Premium AGM batteries for track/race use (Braille, Odyssey, Northstar X2, etc.)

My 2017 Corvette, when tested for parasitic draw according to the GM procedure, is 20-30mA. Newer cars are probably even more.

Premium AGM batteries for track/race use (Braille, Odyssey, Northstar X2, etc.)

LOL yes, I noticed that. But they can do above the 10%.

Premium AGM batteries for track/race use (Braille, Odyssey, Northstar X2, etc.)

Yep, that's what I was reading. I've already ordered a replacement: Tecmate Optimate 7 Select. It is on the Odyssey approval list and looks well designed.

Premium AGM batteries for track/race use (Braille, Odyssey, Northstar X2, etc.)

I just spent a solid 30 minutes reading and looking into chargers. I had never realized there were higher amperage ones -- I assumed most were the same save for some specialty cases. My car has an O'Reilly Platinum SureStart AGM and I've been using a Battery Tender Plus rated for only 1.25A...

Premium AGM batteries for track/race use (Braille, Odyssey, Northstar X2, etc.)

Right, they don't make an extreme or pro model in my size. I'm referring to the performance one.

Premium AGM batteries for track/race use (Braille, Odyssey, Northstar X2, etc.)

Heavy vibration for sure. Car is running a very stiff suspension with huge aero forces as well, and is regularly clipping apex curbs at the track. Also, heavy G-force as the car turns and brakes -- 1.5g+ laterally and whatever the longitudinal forces are. Battery is a two-year old O'Reilly...

Premium AGM batteries for track/race use (Braille, Odyssey, Northstar X2, etc.)

The specs for the Odyssey Performance AGM48 H6 L3 and X2 Power SLI48AGMDP are not the same in several areas, so I don't think it's the same battery just rebranded. A few of the differences are: -Odyssey is 720 CCA to X2's 775 -Odyssey is 950 HCA to X2's 915 -Odyssey is 69aH to X2's 67 -Odyssey...

Premium AGM batteries for track/race use (Braille, Odyssey, Northstar X2, etc.)

The car doesn't get driven on the street. The only time it is running is driving up to the grid, on track, and when sitting in line at impound after a session on track. That's not a lot of run time, and when it is running, it's under a high-stress use case. Goal is durability/reliability.

Premium AGM batteries for track/race use (Braille, Odyssey, Northstar X2, etc.)

Does anyone have experience with the more premium AGM batteries in vehicles that see extreme use such as a race track? The battery would be subject to intense vibration and heat. It would rarely get charged by the alternator -- but would be on a Battery Tender between races and events. My...

    2021 Mercedes AMG C63S - 10k miles - M1 FS 0w40

Hard to find this data, but the previous 5w40 MB-branded oil was made by XOM and had KV@40 of 82.84 and KV@100 of 13.59. PQI tests in 2018 showed it to be pretty darn close to the claimed spec: http://pqiadata.org/Mercedes_5W40.html

    2021 Mercedes AMG C63S - 10k miles - M1 FS 0w40

Probably right. Even the Mobil 1 ESP 0w40 in my Corvette would shear a little. The Motul 300V 0w40 generally did not, but it also costs twice what M1 does...and isn't MB-certified. I think these 5k intervals will work fine given my driving habits. TBN and TAN still look fine.

    2021 Mercedes AMG C63S - 10k miles - M1 FS 0w40

This is the second oil change my 2021 C63S has received and the first full interval using Mobil 1 FS 0w40. This car is a daily driver but I don't have any sort of daily commute.. I do like winding it out to hear that V8 pop and bang! The car has the hand-built, wet sump M177 bi-turbo 4.0L V8...

Decent LT tire for the highway use?

You won't regret buying the Defender, but you might regret buying something else. It's been a category leader for a while. If you prefer something a bit more "truck-looking", then the Conti TerrainContact seems to be at the top of the tests.

    Audi S5 - Winter Tire/Rim Recommendation From Dealer - Opinions/Advice?

It comes down to his use case. If he drives in bad conditions often (unplowed snow and/or ice), then I would be looking at the Michelin X-Ice Snow or Xi3. If he only occasionally drives in bad conditions, and/or mostly drives when the roads are cleared, then the Pirelli should be fine and will...

Upcoming 2022 Labor Day deals at Discount Tire/Americas Tire?

Years past they did double rebates but it seems like the belt has tightened, and who knows how things will go given the Tire Rack purchase.
