Are you confusing Premium Guard and Prime Guard? Premium Guard is the company that supplies filters under several names including Carquest ,NAPA, O'Reillys and others and are usually made in China or Vietnam. Several have been cut open and are liked by several here.

Quaker State All Mileage 10w40 has it labeled as a conventional oil. While not a 5w30 as being discussed It nevertheless is labeled as a conventional. It is also rated as an API SN oil.

I have jumped the starter and fuel pump both work when grounded.

It may not be called that but it has a circuit board inside. It can be seen through the bottom of the box where the plug ins are. I unplugged all of the plugs and removed the whole box and it has a green circuit board in it.
